DIY : Lac de Unghii cu Sclipici - Glitter Nail Polish

   Deoarece imi doream de ceva timp un lac de unghii care sa contina particule colorate, dar nu am gasit nimic care sa imi placa, am decis sa imi fac singura unul asemanator cu ceea ce cautam.

   Because I wished for a long time a nail polish which contains coloured particles, but I didn't found what I wanted, I decided to make one for myself.

   Ai nevoie de : Un lac transparent, un dizolvant pentru unghii, cateva discuri demachiante, o foarfeca, o coala de hartie (de preferat alba) si beteala de brad.

  You need : A clear nail polish, a nail polish remover, some cleaning pads, scissors, a sheet of paper (preferably white) and tinsel.

  

   Desi initial vroiam sa folosesc doua culori, am observat ca beteala rosie contine colorant care se dizolva in lacul transparent. De aceea, inainte de a incepe e de preferat sa faci un mic test. Pune un fir de beteala pe foaia de hartie, iar pe discurile demachiante putin dizolvant. Sterge firele si vei vedea daca acestea contin sau nu colorant:

  Although I wanted that the nail polish to contain two colors, I noticed that the red tinsel contains dyestuff which dissolves in clear nail polish. So, before you start, would be preferably to make a little test. Put a thread on the sheet of paper, and on the pads some nail polish remover. Wipe the thread and you will see if this contains or no dyestuff:

   Dupa ce ai facut testul, alege beteala fara colorant: 

After you made the test, choose the tinsel without dyestuff:

Deoarece aceasta este alcatuita din multe fire unite intre ele, iti va fi mai usor daca le desfaci pe rand de pe suportul din mijloc:

Because the tinsel is composed of multiple threads, it would be easier for you to detach them from the middle support:

Cu ajutorul foarfecei, taie patratele mici sau alte forme, insa incearca pe cat posibil ca dimensiunea acestora sa fie aproximativ aceeasi:

Using scissors, cut small squares or other shapes, but try as much as possible to get the same size for all the forms:

Dupa ce ai obtinut formele pentru 'sclipici', introdu-le cu grija in lacul transparent, iar la sfarsit vei obtine un lac decorativ. Am observat ca patratelele de 'sclipici' tind sa ramana pe partea de jos a sticlei de lac, insa acest lucru poate fi remediat daca agiti oja:

After you cut the squares, put them into the clear nail polish and at the end you will get a decorative nail polish. I noticed that the 'glitter' squares tend to remain on the bottom, but this can be remedied if you shake the nail polish bottle:

Eu am ales sa las lacul intors, deoarece 'sclipiciul' se va aduna in partea de sus, iar cand va fi folosit, patratelele se vor raspandi in toata sticla:

I chose to let the nail polish upside down, because the 'glitter' will gather on top, and when it will be used, the squares will spread all over the bottle:

   Am aplicat acest lac decorativ peste un strat de oja de baza si doua de oja neagra:

I applied a base coat, a black polish and over that the decorative nail polish:

   Modelul l-am facut doar pe unghia degetului inelar, iar pe celelalte am folosit o oja mov deschis pentru un contrast mai puternic: 

   I made this model only on the ring finger, and on the other nails I used a light purple nail polish for a stronger contrast:
